We did not create heaven and earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who deny the truth. Woe betide those who deny the truth, when they are cast into the Fire -- 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks. 33 And, indeed We did try Sulaiman (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 Then We made the wind subservient to him; it made his command to run gently wherever he desired, 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 “This is Our bestowal. So give or withhold as you wish without account.” 39 And he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful Place of (Final) Return. 40
