Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
