Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
