The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
