The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
