The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
