3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
