Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
