[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 and raised its vault high and proportioned it; 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 and the earth-after that He spread it out, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 the Day when the human will remember what he has worked for, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 So for one who rebelled, 37 And preferred the life of the world, 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. 40 Their abode will be the Garden. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 You have no knowledge to say anything about it, 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46
