۞ O people, it is you who stand in need of Allah; as for Allah, He is Self-Sufficient, Immensely Praiseworthy. 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 And that is for Allah not difficult. 17 No one who carries a burden bears another's load; and even if the burdened soul cry out for help none will carry the least of its burden, however close a relative it may be. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and fulfil their devotional obligations. Whoever grows in goodness does so for himself. To God is the journeying back. 18 Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism). 19 nor darkness and light; 20 The shade and the hot wind are not equal, 21 nor are the living and the dead. God causes whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear you. 22 You are naught but a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it. 24 And if they give thee the lie - even so gave the lie to the truth [many of] those who lived before their time, [when] there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, and with books of divine wisdom, and with light-giving revelation; 25 so I seized the unbelievers and how terrible was their torment. 26
