The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
