Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the breath of morning 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
