The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
