The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
