The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
