We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
