WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 towards thee on the right hand and on the left hand in knots? 37 Does every one of them aspire to be admitted into a Garden of Delight? 38 By no means! verily We! We have created them from that which they know. 39 No, I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We have the ability 40 Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). 41 So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!- 42 the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost, 43 Their eyes will be downcast and disgrace will overwhelm them. Such is the Day that they were promised. 44
