Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
