Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
