(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
