Is it not plain to those who inherit the earth after its inhabitants that if We willed We could smite them for their sins and set a seal upon their hearts, so that they do not hear. 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 We did not find most of them true to their covenants; indeed We found most of them to be transgressors. 102 Then We sent, after them, Musa with Our signs unto Fir'awn and his chiefs, but they wronged them. Behold that wise was the end of the corrupters! 103 And Moses said: 'O Pharaoh! I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 Pharaoh said: if you have brought a sign, then bring it forth if you are truthful.' 106 Therefore Moosa put down his staff – it immediately turned into a visible python. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white to the beholders. 108
