The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
