۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 They are always harassing us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
