[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 Make my task easy 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 And share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 "And remember You much, 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
