Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
