And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
