Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 These people say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
