So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Nay, but they do not believe. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
