Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 How awesome that laying-bare of the truth! 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 On that day, the inevitable event will take place 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day all of you will be brought forth, so none among you wishing to hide will be able to hide. 18 Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! 27 My wealth hath not availed me, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 Wherefore for him here this Day there is no friend. 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 “Which none except the guilty shall eat.” 37
