Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
