The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
