It is not your wealth and children that will bring you closer to Us, except those who believe and do the right. These will be given a two-fold reward for their deeds, and will dwell in peace in the high empyrean. 37 And (as for) those who strive in opposing Our communications, they shall be caused to be brought to the chastisement. 38 Say: "Behold, my Sustainer grants abundant sustenance, or gives it in scant measure, unto whomever He wills of His servants; and whatever it be that you spend on others, He [always] replaces it: for He is the best of providers." 39 On the Day when He gathers them all together, He will say to the angels: 'Was it you that these worshipped' 40 They will reply, "All glory belongs to you. You are our guardian, not they. They had been worshipping the jinn and most of them had strong faith". 41 So Today (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), none of you can profit or harm one another. And We shall say to those who did wrong [i.e. worshipped others (like angels, jinns, prophets, saints, righteous persons, etc.) along with Allah]: "Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to belie. 42 When Our clear revelations are read out to them, they say: "This is only a man who wants to turn you away from what your fathers used to worship." And they say: "This is nothing but a fabricated lie." And those who do not believe say of the truth when it has reached them: "This is nothing but pure sorcery." 43 And We have given them no scriptures which they study, nor sent We unto them, before thee, any warner. 44 And those before them belied; and these have not arrived unto a tithe of that which We vouchsafed unto them. But they belied My apostles. So how terrible was My disapproval 45
