Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
