The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
