Al-nahl 2 of 16
It is He Who sent down water from the sky – you drink from it, and from it are trees you use as pasture. 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 God has fixed the mountains on earth lest you should be hurled away when it quakes. Therein He has also made rivers and roads so that you will find your way. 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 And Allah knoweth that which ye keep secret and that which ye publish. 19 Now those beings that some people invoke beside God cannot create anything, since they themselves are but created: 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
