Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
