Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water, 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known calculated term. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 In what other lore after this will they then believe? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 "Move towards what you used to deny!" 29 "Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches." 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
