The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
