Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
