Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
