Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
