The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
