T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
