Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
