Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
