Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
