And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
