T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
