And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
