And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
